Best and worst dressed at the 2015 Academy Awards

WORST: Okay we expect some arguments about this look. Gwyn looks lovely of course, but we're not so sure about that statement shoulder and the pale pink color. It reminds us of a prom-like version of her 1999 Oscars dress. Do you agree?

Our Grade: D

BEST: Reese Witherspoon looked supremely elegant in this black and white gown.

Our Grade: A-

BEST: Jennifer Aniston slayed the red carpet in Versace! Gorgeous.

WORST: Sorry Scarlett, we think we would have left the necklace at home!

Our Grade: C-

BEST: Sienna Miller looked lovely in Peter Copping's first collection for Oscar de la Renta.

Our Grade: A-

YOU DECIDE: Jessica Chastain looks gorgeous as always, but we're not too crazy about the dress.

Our Grade: B

BEST: Rosamund Pike blew us way in this custom Givenchy gown -- three cheers for red lace! (Never thought we'd say that.)

Our Grade: A+

YOU DECIDE: We're torn on Julianne Moore's Chanel dress with the three panels... nothing about it screams "WOW" to us.

Our Grade: B-

BEST: Keira Knightley dressed her growing baby bump flawlessly in Valentino Couture.

Our Grade: A

WORST: We adore Karolina Kurkova but this dress wasn't very flattering on her.

Our Grade: C

BEST: This sexy Couture Armani gown on Naomi Watts apparently didn't even go down the runway! How cool.

Our Grade: A-

BEST: Anna Kendrick looked lovely in this peachy custom Thakoon gown.

Our Grade: A-

WORST: Felicity Jones chose a fashion-forward Alexander McQueen gown, but it just wasn't a big win for us. The color doesn't do anything for her skin tone!

Our Grade: C

BEST: Emma Stone made a bold choice with this lime green Elie Saab Haute Couture gown, but we loved it. It expertly showcases her stunning features.

Our Grade: A-

WORST: Lorelei Linklater's dress was too busy for our taste. Plus, that thigh-high slit is a little too centered.

Our Grade: D

BEST: Margot Robbie schooled us all in this Saint Laurent gown - and that hair! That makeup! Everything.

Our Grade: A+

YOU DECIDE: Jennifer Lopez is so very glamorous in Elie Saab, but we're just dying to know how she'll sit down in this?!

Our Grade: B+

WORST: Rita Ora looks glamorous, that's for sure, but it doesn't seem right for this red carpet.

Our Grade: C

BEST: Jenna Dewan Tatum always looks elegant and this gown's cut perfectly showcased her stunning physique.

Our Grade: B+

WORST: There are too many colors going on in Nicole Kidman's gown and it feels a little ketchup and mustard to us.

Our Grade: D

WORST: Blanca Blanco's gown was too all over the place.

Our Grade: F

WORST: Solange Knowles is usually very fashion-forward, but we couldn't get on board with this look - too much fabric!

Our Grade: D

YOU DECIDE: A very pretty shimmering gown on Anna Faris, but the color washes her out a bit.

Our Grade: B-

YOU DECIDE: America Ferrera looked elegant in Jenny Packham and the color was definitely a standout -- but we can't decide if this fits her properly.

Our Grade: C

YOU DECIDE: Zoe Saldana looked absolutely stunning, but the gown bored us. What do you think?

Our Grade: B-

WORST: We love a dress with pockets, but the pattern felt matronly and the skirt was just a touch too big on Chloe Grace Moretz.

Our Grade: C-

The 2015 Oscars may still be in full swing, but we have a verdict on the red carpet! Some of the biggest names in Hollywood took to the red carpet for the Academy Awards, celebrating the incredible films of 2014 and wearing some stunning gowns from the Haute Couture and even Fall 2015 runways. (Isn't it so thrilling to see a dress on the runway on a Wednesday, then on the red carpet that following Sunday?)

We were surprised to see so much red on the red carpet, especially for the Academy Awards! But the stars that chose to go rouge went full throttle, with Rosamund Pike blowing us away in a custom Givenchy gown and Dakota Johnson choosing a sexy red Saint Laurent number. And speaking of Saint Laurent, just wait until you see Margot Robbie's black dress -- it's just perfection.

While we uttered many "ooh"s and "aah"s tonight, there were (of course) a couple of disappointments. Nicole Kidman's ivory gown had an unexpected green and pink shimmer that we just didn't love, and Felicity Jones chose a fashion-forward Alexander McQueen dress that was a miss in our book.

We asked you to grade the best and worst looks on the Oscars red carpet using the #AOLOscarGrade hashtag on Twitter and we used many of your responses to compile our best and worst dressed gallery. Check out the gallery above!
