Turns out there may be something to that whole "If you love something, let it go" adage.

Louis Dimitriades, 75, surprised his ex-wife-turned-fiance Renate Stumpf at her job on Valentine's Day and asked her to marry him for a second time. Of course she said yes (phew!).

The Walmart employee teases him by saying no at first, which is completely understandable -- after all, they've both been down this road before.

KFSM reports the couple met in Germany when they were both 18. After thirteen years of marriage and three children, they went their separate ways. But the two recently saw each other for the first time in 43 years, and the spark was still there.

"When we saw each other again last December, we knew right then we still loved each other for sure," Stumpf told ABC News. "That love has never passed."

The two will take their time preparing for their second trip down the aisle, because this time they want to do it right.

This wasn't the only romantic gesture we saw on Valentine's Day. London police officers spotted a marriage proposal written in candles from their helicopter. In the police footage, you can even make out a man getting down on one knee.

According to The Independent, she also said "yes."
