Kanye West Has Grammy Meltdown Over Beck's Best Album Grammy

Bring on the Grammy Awards drama!

Apparently, Kanye West wasn't joking when he rushed the stage after Beck won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year at the 2015 Grammy Awards on Sunday.

The 37-year-old rapper jumped on stage during Beck's acceptance speech only to retreat back to his seat moments later, and brought back memories of his infamous mic steal from Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV VMAs after she (like Beck) beat out Beyoncé for a coveted award.

While everyone in the audience – including AOL's reporter Jenny Depper – initially thought that the gimmick was just for laughs, later in the evening West set the record straight about his feelings toward Beck's win for "Morning Phase."

"Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyoncé," Yeezy said in an interview with E! after the ceremony. "At this point we tired of it because what happens is when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental feats in music, you're disrespectful to inspiration."

In the heated exchange he also made a point to say he wasn't messing around when he crashed the stage.

"We aren't playing with them anymore. And by the way, I got my wife, my daughter, and I got my clothing line, so I'm not going to do nothing that would put my daughter at risk, but I am here to fight for creativity. That's the reason why I didn't say anything tonight, but you all knew what it meant when 'Ye stepped on that stage."

While West was clearly being conscientious of his wife, Kim Kardashian, she didn't seem to reciprocate his feelings. The 34-year-old reality star stood by her man during the E! interview, but remained silent throughout the rant and looked visibly uncomfortable.

Beyoncé has remained silent about West defending her artistry, but Beck opened up to reporters regarding the diss.

"You can't please everybody, man," he told reporters about Kanye's harsh words. "I still love him and think he's genius. I aspire to do what he does."

While this recent rant seemed like déjà vu with Taylor Swift, West and Swift seemed to have finally buried the hatchet.

The rap icon and the "Blank Space" singer were spotted chatting at the Grammy after party and appeared to be in good spirits.
