Matthew McConaughey, Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer play fire men, cops and other exaggerated versions of hyper-masculine characters in the Steven Soderbergh film, and they say preparing for their parts and performing nearly nude for the dozens of female extras who populated the fake Club Xquisite gave the actors insight into women's grooming, undergarments and approach to carnal fantasy. In case you didn't get the appeal of "Magic Mike" the first time around, allow Channing Tatum to show you.

The 34-year-old actor is throwing subtlety out the window when it comes to the poster of "Magic Mike XXL" -- the sequel to the 2012 hit -- showing off his abs and literally pointing to his nether regions.

... And clearly, "Coming 07.01.15" is placed very strategically on his body.

"Look, but you can't touch...until tomorrow. Tune in to @theellenshow! #MagicMikeXXL," Channing posted on Instagram Tuesday, unveiling the poster to promote his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing Wednesday.

"Magic Mike XXL" reunites Channing with Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello as the strippers take a road trip from Tampa to Myrtle Beach for a stripping convention. The second installment picks up three years after Mike (Channing) said goodbye to the stripper life and finally got serious with Brooke (Cody Horn). Now, the remaining Kings of Tampa are ready to follow suit -- but first they want Magic Mike back for a handful of blow-out performances. Newcomers to the sequel include Amber Heard, Jada Pinkett Smith and Michael Strahan.

In November, ET had an exclusive set visit with the stars of the highly anticipated film, which Channing referred to as a "stripper odyssey."

"It's an odyssey, we like to call it," he joked. "It's like The Iliad. It's a stripper odyssey."

And just in case you're wondering, Channing promised that the actors did all their own "stunts."

"There are no stand-ins," the Foxcatcher actor said. "There's no stunt doubles, there's no body doubles. It's all 100 percent us."
