At first glance, this architectural gem near Melbourne, Australia looks like it's floating on the ocean.

The panorama from inside the house is even more inspiring. Imagine waking up to this as your view each morning -- not too shabby, huh?

The original home was actually built in the 1970s as a weekend retreat for the architect who designed it and his family.

From a different perspective you can see the massive pole that supports the house -- and inspired its nickname -- the pole house. Sort of like those selfie sticks, right?!

The structure has been updated recently, and at 130 feet high, the views and the price are spectacular. Renting this Aussie beauty can run as high as $1,000 a night.

For that view, it might be worth it.
