Patriots trolled by Krispy Kreme over #DeflateGate
Donut company Krispy Kreme capitalizes on the Patriots' under-inflated football situation with this tasty tweet.
New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick might not be eating donuts for a while.
Amid accusations that the Patriots deflated footballs in the AFC Championship game last Sunday, Krispy Kreme decided to take advantage of the situation and send this delicious taunt on social media.

The hashtag #DeflateGate has been blowing up on Twitter after a report Tuesday night claimed the league found 11 of the Patriots' 12 allotted game balls were under-inflated. The NFL is investigating the situation and Belichick has deferred questions, saying he promised to cooperate with the league.
In the meantime, other companies – from Amazon to Ebay – are jabbing the Pats.

But our favorite by far is this Dali-riffed image from Gary Varvel, editorial cartoonist for The Indianapolis Star.
The controversy calls to mind the 2007 season when Belichick was fined $500,000 for spying on an opponent's defensive signals.
The Super Bowl will take place Sunday, Feb. 1 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Hopefully the NFL will have #deflategate case closed by then.
