The Super Bowl isn't always about football.

It's also about getting the best musical acts together, and this year is clearly no exception.

It was announced on Friday that Broadway star Idina Menzel and John Legend will be lending their singing chops before the big game on Feb. 1, with Menzel set to sing the national anthem and John Legend to sing "America the Beautiful."

Menzel, 43, already tweeted about the big news on Friday, shouting out the late Whitney Houston, who memorably sang a jaw-dropping rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Super Bowl XXV in 1991.

This will be both the Frozen singer and Legend's fist times performing at the Super Bowl.

It was previously announced that Katy Perry will headline the Pepsi Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show with special guest, Lenny Kravitz.

"I am not Beyonce! We all know that. I am human," she nervously joked to ET earlier this month about the gig of a lifetime. "I'll be something else. There's so many flavors of ice cream and I'll be a different one."
