Jennifer Aniston upsets ex-beau's widow with interview

Updated

Jennifer Aniston's sit down with the New York Times this week reopened some old wounds for the wife of the actress' late ex.

In the piece Aniston briefly mentions her personal life bringing up her long time former boyfriend Daniel McDonald. "He was my first love -- five years we were together. He would have been the one. But I was 25, and I was stupid. He must have sent me Justin to make up for it all."

Aniston and McDonald ended their relationship back in 1994. He went on to marry and have children and Aniston, well, you know the rest. Sadly McDonald lost a battle with cancer and passed away in 2007.

In response to the quote in the Times, McDonald's widow Mujah Maraini-Melehi took to social media posting to her Facebook: "I am sorry that Jennifer did not realize the treasure that was Daniel when she had the chance, long before he and I met and long before he died. It pains me to read the headlines that allude to her losing him tragically when she was not present during his long and difficult illness."

Maraini-Melehi's Facebook page has since been removed.
