The fashion and awards show race is officially on!

Stars struck a pose on the blue carpet at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Thursday evening and it is safe to say that the fashion fun is heating up.

Newcomer Felicity Jones kicked things up a notch after a strong showing at the Golden Globes, this time donning a black ball gown with mesh paneling. Meanwhile, A-lister Reese Witherspoon struck a pose in a black and pink strapless number while Angelina Jolie turned heads in a silver, silk dress. While these ladies will likely land on the best-dressed list, the same can't be said for other mega-watt stars.

Jennifer Aniston rocked a plunging red suit, which didn't do her any favors. Check out the gallery above for all the evening's looks.
