Military father surprises daughter during school game show
One second-grader got a very sweet surprise at her school Wednesday.
Brooklyn Brown was reunited with her father, Petty Officer First Class James Brown, during a school assembly. He'd been stationed overseas with the U.S. Navy for the past eight months.
WFTS reports that Imagine School in Land O' Lakes, Florida, had its students compete in a game-show competition and Brooklyn was declared the winner. The prize? Seeing her father.
Brooklyn refused to let go of her dad for about fifteen minutes.
This is the first military surprise reunion we've heard about this year. Quite a few took place right before the holidays -- and it seems like everyone's a softie for a good reunion story.
On Facebook, the WFTS report of the reunion got more than 850 likes, with many viewers commenting that they got teary-eyed while watching it.
Besides seeing Brooklyn again, Brown was also reunited with his 21-month-old son.
