"The biggest tip I can give for sticking with any health routine for losing weight and getting more fit is to constantly change up your workout," shares John Colaneri, known for his HGTV show "The Kitchen Cousins."

"One thing you have to remember is that muscles have memory and if you do the same routine week in and week out, they memorize that movement. Variety is also great for your attitude and will give you the push you need for those workouts. If you prepare yourself and plan any goal is attainable!"

"Instead of just going to the same gym to kick start that new year's weight-loss program, try a new workout routine like Crossfit, boxing, biking or swimming," says John.

"Tackle a DIY home project that you have been wanting to do," says John. "Don't be afraid to try something new and in the end you might surprise yourself."
