Male birth control is almost here

Male birth control could be on the way. While it hasn't hit human trials yet, the gel contraceptive is being developed to have long lasting effects similar to a vasectomy.The target market date could be as close to 2016.

This particular drug is called Vasalgel and it doesn't come in the familiar contraceptive form. It is a non-hormonal gel that plugs that is to be administed through the vas deferens. Instead of a phyical cut, it plugs the vas deferens like a vasectomy. This means that it is reversible, less invasive, and long-lasting.
