Matthew McConaughey, Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer play fire men, cops and other exaggerated versions of hyper-masculine characters in the Steven Soderbergh film, and they say preparing for their parts and performing nearly nude for the dozens of female extras who populated the fake Club Xquisite gave the actors insight into women's grooming, undergarments and approach to carnal fantasy. Though the fallout from the hacked Sony emails from the likes of Sony co-chairman Amy Pascal, producer Scott Rudin and even writer Aaron Sorkin has been unprecedented, it turns out that not all the previously private emails require an apology.

At least, not when you're the already super well-liked Channing Tatum and George Clooney, whose leaked emails over the weekend had their fans more amused than angry.

Channing's email is particularly amazing. In a message between Pascal, a few Sony executives and his 22 Jump Street co-star Jonah Hill, the charismatic star congratulates the team on their box office hit with an ... errr, enthusiastic email.

... You get the idea.

Channing is of course referring to 22 Jump Street's massive opening weekend, which bumped Seth MacFarlane's Ted down on the list of best-ever opening weekends for R-rated comedies. No telling how many more "HAHAHAHAHA's" Channing might have written if 22 Jump Street had actually displaced The Hangover II, which still holds the record.

Also coming off pretty good on email is Clooney, who proves that not every mega star is immune to bad reviews.

According to Page Six, Clooney was so upset about the less than stellar reception of his film Monuments Men -- which he produced, wrote, directed and starred in -- that he couldn't sleep.

"I need some protection from all the reviews," he writes Pascal. "Let's just make it a hit. I haven't slept in 30 hours. And it's 7 am."

After Amy consoles him with this message, " ... we will protect you by making money... that's the best revenge," Clooney continues to be more than a little hard on himself.

"I adore you Amy," he writes. "You are literally the only person running a studio that loves film. I fear I've let you all down. Not my intention. I apologize. I've just lost touch... Who knew? Sorry. I won't do it again."

But on a more serious note, perhaps the most damaging document leak in the Sony hack this weekend is an early version of the screenplay for the highly anticipated upcoming James Bond film Spectre.

Eon Productions, the company behind the Bond series, released a statement Saturday, threatening those who attempt to distribute it.

"Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Danjaq LLC will take all necessary steps to protect their rights against the persons who stole the screenplay, and against anyone who makes infringing uses of it or attempts to take commercial advantage of confidential property it knows to be stolen," the producers wrote.
