Royals release Christmas portraits of Prince George

Santa's not the only one with rosy cheeks this holiday season.

Prince William and Duchess Kate released three new adorable photos of their son Prince George of Cambridge Saturday. The official Christmas portraits were taken in a courtyard at Kensington Palace in late November of 2014 in London, according to palace officials.

The soon-to-be 17-month old little boy smiles and smirks for the camera in the first official pictures released since his first birthday this past summer.

George's parents returned home to London this week after a brief visit to New York City. Check out some of the best photos from their visit to the big apple below.
