How Angelina Jolie stopped a fan from crying

Updated

Perhaps it's her motherly instincts, but Angelina Jolie knew just what to do to stop one fan from crying.

The Maleficent actress went on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Dec. 4, and there was a typical, crowded group of fans waiting behind metal barriers for her outside to catch a glimpse, a picture or an autograph.

What happened at this scene was not typical though as one fan, Techna Deschanel, used Instagram to tell her story of the chaotic scene and being "squished to the point" of having a panic attack. Security had to pull her out of the mass so that she could sit down.

Jolie, 39, saw the fan's scare and a beautiful moment unfolded as she was able to calm her down. The star wiped her tears away and made sure she was okay.
