Mickey Rourke Wins Exhibition Bout in Moscow

Mickey Rourke tried to get some boxing credibility back last week by knocking out someone half his age, however it wasn't as impressive as some may think.

People were impressed when Mickey Rourke announced that he would be stepping back into a boxing ring once again to take on a 29-year-old. People were a little more impressed last week when Rourke knocked out Elliott Seymour over in Russia, thinking that Rourke had gained some semblance of boxing credibility.

Yeah, well, you can toss that out the window now.

For anyone who watched the bout you can clearly see that Rourke was not exactly in the ring with a boxing savant, and according to the New York Post, that's because he wasn't. Basically, Rourke beat on some 29-year-old kid that was paid to do one job, and that was stand there and get knocked out.

Seymour hangs out at the same LA gym as Rourke, and unfortunately, he's a man that's homeless and desperate for some cash.

"Obviously, it was beneficial for Mickey Rourke. It probably made him feel good, boosted his ego, to be able to say he beat somebody half his age,'' said a family friend of Elliot Seymour.

"Yeah, Rourke did [beat him], but you're not telling them the real story. The real story is [Seymour] is homeless and desperate."

The source for the Post then gave a bit of insight into what kind of boxer Seymour actually is, which again, is someone who is paid to step into a ring and get it handed to them.

"Meaning you pay him to lose,'' the source said. "The fight was a joke. Mickey needs to stop pretending he ever was very good and just keep acting. It's kind of an embarrassment, really. Mickey throws punches so slow an infant could avoid them."

Rourke "knocked Seymour out" in the second round of the fight, but after this little revelation, there's probably a good chance that you'll never see Rourke in a boxing ring ever again.

And if you saw the fight, trust me, we're all better off that way.
