If lifestyle expert Molly Sims has learned anything from her guest and friend Robyn Casady, it is to say no to plastic.

The green-living gurus offer that you should be looking at labels and avoiding two things: BPA and PVC. These chemicals are endocrine disrupters and can cause cancer.

Instead, buy dishes and tools in stainless steel, use glass bottles and mason jars for drinks, grab stainless steel lunch boxes for your kids and reach for wood toys instead of plastic ones.

If you are looking for a great eco-friendly cleaner -- there's no need to go to the store.

Try this recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp. baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp. castile soap

  • 1 1/2 cups of water

  • 10-15 drops of essential oil

Directions:

  1. Add the above ingredients to a glass bottle.

  2. Add a spray top.
