There are many individuals who dream of sailing through the air in a hot air balloon, however the rides can be very unpredictable. Two female tourists found themselves in jail after their hot air balloon ride went off course.

The woman weren't arrested but the balloon they were riding in landed on the grounds of the Ajmer jail in India. The tourists had been visiting the Pushkar Camel Fair in Rajasthan when they decided to take the cruise for a memorable view of the event.

When the women got up in the air however, strong winds posed quite the problem. The balloon operator was forced to land it in a field on the prison grounds.

According to a police official, the balloon touched ground in close proximity to the main complex of the jail. The spokesperson commented "We are investigating the matter and action will be taken if any rule has been violated."

Three hot air balloons that were flown during the fair went off track. The balloon company's license has been suspended and rides in general are not permitted over the fair or jail while the investigation into the mishaps continues.

As for the prison-bound women, they were detained for two hours after touching down while police tried to determine whether or not the landing was part of a jailbreak.
