Melissa Rivers used the #ThrowbackThursday hashtag to remember her late mother, Joan Rivers, this week.

The 46-year-old took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of her famous mom pushing her son, Cooper, on a swing hanging from a large tree.

Melissa captioned the very cute picture, "Connecticut, 2004. Mom + Cooper = BFFs... A perfect day. #TBT."

The photo certainly shows a more casual side of her iconic mother, who passed away on Sept. 4, and is dressed down in jeans and a black T-shirt with her hair loose. Melissa did not address where specifically the photo was taken, but they appear to be at a park.

The nostalgic snap comes at a very tough time for the reality show star, who reportedly will inherit $75 million in cash and Joan's French-inspired $35 million condo on New York's Upper East Side sometime this week.

The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner disclosed Rivers' cause of death on October 16, issuing the following statement:

"OCME has completed its investigation. The cause of Ms. Rivers' death is anoxic encephalopathy due to hypoxic arrest during laryngoscopy and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy with propofol sedation for evaluation of voice changes and gastroesophageal reflux disease. The manner of death is therapeutic complication. "

"The classification of a death as a therapeutic complication means that the death resulted from a predictable complication of medical therapy."

Melissa Rivers has not publicly commented about her mother's passing beyond this photo and a brief statement via Twitter.

In response to NYC's Medical examiner's report, we continue to be saddened by our tragic loss. No further comment at this time," Rivers tweeted.
