Teen with heart condition dies in haunted house
An Ohio teen collapsed and died while walking through a Halloween-themed haunted house on Friday, October 17th.
Christian Faith Benge, 16, was declared dead at a hospital after visiting the Land of Illusion Haunted Scream Park in Middletown, Ohio. Her family said she got halfway through the attraction when she collapsed.
Benge, a high school sophomore, was born with a birth defect, and doctors say she was living with one lung and an enlarged heart four times its normal size. Her grandmother told reporters she was like a time bomb.
Christian's mom, Jean Benge, described her daughter as the "sweetest, most generous, kindhearted, loving person, and I miss her so much."
An autopsy for the teen is currently underway.
