Do you like coffee? Sure you do, especially if you're a doctor, cop, or journalist. Do you like getting stuff for free? And by stuff, we mean coffee? Well, today's your lucky day, because corporations have declared it National Coffee Day, when Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks, and others celebrate the day coffee was invented conspire to create an arbitrary marketing ploy that, happily enough, involves gallons of free or cheap coffee.

You can grab a free medium cup of Dunkin' Donuts' dark roast all day Monday, or a free 12oz regular cup at Krispy Kreme, CNN Money reports. Elsewhere, Tim Hortons is offering a $1 coffee deal, as well as spinning out some kind of social media scavenger hunt that sounds really complicated--but if you want to run around Columbus, OH looking for a $25 gift card, be our guest.

Lastly, McDonald's will conclude its two-week free coffee promotion Monday, so it's a good idea to work them into your Coffee Day circuit--at least until the caffeine crash kicks in.
