Amanda Bynes arrested for DUI
Amanda Bynes has been arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The "Hairspray" actress, 28, was arrested at 4:10 a.m., after a CHP officer observed her vehicle stopped in the middle of Riverside Drive and Van Nuys Boulevard around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, reports CBS.
The former TV star was arrested and held at the LAPD's Van Nuys station on $15,000 bail, the LAPD confirmed.
Bynes was released around 1 p.m. on Sunday, CBS reports.
The California Highway Patrol has not released details on the type of controlled substance that Bynes was under the influence of.
The "What I Like About You" actress is certainly no stranger to run-ins with the law.
She is currently serving three years probation after she pleaded no contest to driving on a suspended license from a 2012 incident. Bynes was also arrested in May 2013 in New York City for allegedly throwing a bong outside of her apartment window. The case was later dismissed and she entered an outpatient rehabilitation program in August 2013.
Bynes left rehab in December 2013.
