A cyclist in Russia is lucky to be alive this week after being hit by an out-of-control truck.

The dramatic video dated September 19 and captured in a Moscow suburb, according to a description on YouTube, show the harrowing moment a man almost died in a freak accident.

The luckiest man in the world appears to have suffered barely more than a few bumps and bruises after the truck was struck by a speeding car, careened through an intersection and hit the bike.

The red car continued speeding forward after hitting the truck, but the truck veered violently to the left – right at the cyclist.

The man pedaling the bicycle is knocked to the ground as the truck turns over on its side. His bike appears to be wrecked.

He at first does not get up, but then springs to life and runs to check the driver of the truck.

It is now known if alcohol or drugs were involved, or if there were any serious injuries. Russian drivers are notoriously reckless, and many have even mounted cameras on their dashboards in the event of an accident to help prove they are not at fault.

But the cyclist should have ran to the nearest store and bought a lottery ticket.
