Katy Perry Goes Gretchen Weiners on Taylor Swift
Is Taylor Swift's 'bad blood' with Katy Perry?

The 24-year-old songbird slung a diss toward another pop star in the Sept. 25, issue of Rolling Stone magazine, but in typical Swifty fashion, she refused to reveal who her complaints were aimed at.

And now pop powerhouse Katy Perry is potentially claiming she's the woman Swift has a beef with.

The "Dark Horse" singer tweeted: Perry's reference to the movie "Mean Girls," which chronicles the lives of Regina George and Cady Heron who were formerly friends before they turned enemies as they fought over a boy, seems to make sense in this scenario.

Perry and Swift both previously dated lothario John Mayer and both women have massive and competitive careers, which was also a bone of contention for Swift.

The "Red" singer told the music rag that she wrote her new song "Bad Blood," which will make its debut on her 1989 album, about a pop nemesis she was peripherally friends with.

"For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?' Then last year, the other star crossed a line," Swift divulged. "She did something so horrible, I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy!"

And what was that horrible thing?

"It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me," Swift protested.

Swift and Perry's world tours bother overlapped in 2014, with Swift's Red Tour concluding as Perry's Prismatic World Tour kicked off in May 2014.

While neither songstress has commented on whether their anonymous comments are aimed at each other, it seems like a case could be building.

Let's just hope neither have a burn book like Regina George and Cady Heron.
