'Extreme Weight Loss': High school teacher makes shocking transformation

On "Extreme Weight Loss" Rod, a high school drama teacher from Tallahassee, Florida made the transformation of a lifetime.

Originally weighing in at 448 pounds, Rod lost a total of 188 pounds. That means he now weighs 260 pounds.

As Heavy.com notes, the journey wasn't easy for Rod. The 49-year-old high school drama teacher and actor still struggles with his weight. As fans saw in the finale, he didn't hit his final goal but embraced what he had accomplished.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Rod fought hard for his spot on the show, beating out 7,000 hopefuls with his story and contagious personality.

As the Examiner points out, not only did Rod lose a great deal of weight but he also lived a life long dream to audition for a Broadway show in New York City and got to climb the Empire State Building.
