Angelina Jolie's dress revealed on the covers of People and Hello! magazines

The first published images of the 39-year-old bride's couture gown have been revealed in a dual release on the covers of both People and Hello! magazines.

For the 'fun and relaxed' day, Angelina chose a custom-designed ivory dress by Atelier Versace, featuring delicate straps, a ruched bodice -- and a smattering of her children's doodles, which dot the back of the dress as well as Jolie's veil.

Jolie has talked from the start about making her children a large part of the day. In a previous interview with People, she said, "We are discussing it with the children and how they imagine it might be, which is verging on hysterical, how kids envision a wedding. They will, in a way, be the wedding planners."

And that they were. According to People, each child played a specific role in the ceremony: "Eldest sons Maddox, 13, and Pax, 10, walked their mom down the aisle; flower girls Zahara, 9, and Vivienne, 6, tossed petals gathered from the garden; and Shiloh, 8, and Knox, 6, served as ring bearers. The kids also helped write their parents' vows. And Pax baked the cake!"

"It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family," the couple told Hello!

Of Versace's top tailor, Luigi Massi, who made the dress, Angelina said, "Luigi is like family to me and I couldn't imagine anyone else making this dress. He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together."

The full wedding album will be featured in this week's edition of People magazine, which hits newsstands Wednesday.

Though many fans are applauding the unique dress, some feel the day should have been more about the couple rather than the children -- that 'just doing it for the kids' makes it appear Brad & Angie's hearts aren't in their relationship. What do you think? Tell us in the comments.

Another celebritity couple that got the order backwards. You are supposed to get married first, then have the family. With 6 kids, it's a joke that she wore white...Have all traditions flown out the window?

I think letting the kids help with the planning is a great idea. The white dress is lovely and very understated, Very classy. I love this couple.

Wow...the hate runs rampant! It doesn't matter if any of us like the dress and it's art...they did. And if you hate this couple for they way they allegedly began...then you must hate most of the Hollywood people. As to the ugly comments about the white gown...look around...she is not the first previously married person to wear a white gown, nor will she be the last.
They seem committed to raising their family together. Outside of their careers they do good things. Who are we to pass judgement?
I think she looks lovely. I'm sure her family did too and that's all that really matters.

I think they are a united family. They wanted everyone to participate thats how much Brad and Angelina love their children.

I do not like the dress. It just does nothing for me but that does not matter it is that she liked it, but it is ugly I think. And her kids scribbling on the veil and back of her dress and the fact that she wore white when she has been married before and he too and she is not a virgin that is for sure knowing she slept with so many people in Hollywierd. It is hard to be happy for these two.....stealing someones man and cheating on your wife just don't make it in my book no matter what.

who cares? with all the problems in the world today -- who really cares?
What is more important is that the POTUS is doing nothing about his brother in ISIS.
Who really cares about a has been over rated actor and his so called wife. AOL needs to stay focus on the worlds problems

Very unique veil, lovely dress. It's nice they made it a family affair. But it should have been more about her and Pitt, not so much about the kids. Makes you think their heart is not in it as a couple, that it was all about what the kids wanted, like they just did it for the kids...
