Through the magic of the Wayback Machine, an archival service that has been taking screenshots of websites since the late 1990's, we take a moment to gaze over what some of the world's most popular websites looked like in days past. A time when white space dominated our computer screens, and embedding a video correctly was a task for only the most advanced web-masters. We've come a long way since then, but let's be honest... Just like Rome, the Internet wasn't built in a day.
