Louise Roe picks her 5 favorite looks from the 2014 Emmy Awards
Alison Williams in strapless Giambattista Valli. I loved the unexpected combination of printed corset and acid yellow sash.
A simple bun and natural makeup was the perfect way to let the dress shine.
Julia Roberts In a short, blue else saab dress. The sleeves, the structure, the enormous beads, plus her blonde, beachy locks, ah it was such a refreshing, fun look.
Michele Dockery chose a relatively unknown designer from Brooklyn Rosie Assoulin. Props to anyone who supports smaller fashion labels at such a big event.
The dress had a sports luxe vibe with electric blue and emerald green ruffles down the side, and a keyhole at the stomach. So cool.
I knew somebody would rock the runway trend for a bare midriff, and at the Emmys that person was Sarah Hyland. She chose a white top with skinny spaghetti straps and a high waisted orange skirt but Christian siriano. Her messy ballerina bun kept things playful and young.
Kerry Washington's orange Prada number oozed chic. The embellished trim brought the dress to life, and adding navy heels, navy eyeshadow, a navy clutch and a bejeweled (you guessed it) navy miniskirt peeking out from underneath, was typical Prada... expect the unexpected!
BACK TO SLIDE
TV personality Louise Roe (and former StyleList guest editor) spent the most of the Emmys red carpet interviewing the hottest celebs of the evening, which means she was able to get an up close and personal look at every gown, jumpsuit, and embellishment to hit the red carpet.
Who better to share her picks from last night's show than Louise, who herself looked absolutely stunning in a Monique Lhuillier floral gown with Martin Katz jewelry. The fashionista's picks lined up pretty well with our 2014 best/worst dressed, but you can see for yourself!
