MTV VMAs 2014 winners and recap

Action both on and off the stage made the 2014 MTV Music Video Awards anything but low-key. Miley Cyrus' 'not impressed' face during Taylor Swift's 'Shake It Off' performance gave McKayla Maroney a run for her money. Beyoncé smashed divorce rumors during an utterly raw, nearly 20-minute performance where she cried, showed videos of daughter Blue Ivy and pulled her family up on stage to close the show.

Cyrus had a more subtle year compared to the last VMAs' infamous twerking-with-a-foam-finger exhibition. However, it was still controversial. Cyrus chose to have a homeless man named Jesse accept her 'Video of the Year' award for 'Wrecking Ball.' Jesse had a speech drawing attention to the issue of homeless youth in America that turned Cyrus' big win into a political statement.

Other big events everyone was buzzing about included Nicki Minaji's 'Anaconda' dance, Iggy Azalea falling off the stage, and Katy Perry and rapper Riff Raff's throwback outfits that paid homage to Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake's 2001 denim look.

In case you were unable to stay tuned to the wardrobe malfunctioning-eye rolling-twerking drama that is the VMAs, here is a quick refresher on who was up for a moonman and who took home MTV's top honors.

You can put makeup on a pig BUT it's still a pig. I gotta wonder why these mostly naked pigs think that I wanna see their junk.

What a trashy, untalented group when I think of the first awards shows-Madonna, Michael Jackson, the Stones, David Bowie, the Beatles, Herbie Hancock, Van Halen, the Police,Billy Joel, Lionel Richie, the Cars, Cyndy Lauper, Donna Summer, Pat Benatar, Bette Midler, Huey Lewis, ZZ Top, Neil Young, Talking Heads-now THAT was talent, and they weren't spreading their legs, getting arrested or shooting each other every week. Sometimes it's good to be older!

I'm real proud of all the blacks that are now fuming over the UNARMED WHITE model that was shot as a homeys party. Hope the shooter isn't black, because UNARMED will cause them to support her. Oh wait ...I'm sorry, it only goes one way, their way!!!

Pretty decent until Swift came on. She has no talent except for young girls b/c she is a loser in love. I mean look at her. Who would want her. She is a prime example of your out drinking and she starts to look good you know you have had to much and time to go home.
