Ronnie and Sammi break up like It's 2009

You might think this story is a Throwback Thursday story but I assure you, it's real life.

Ronnie Magro and Sammi Giancola are broken up. Yes, that's Ronnie and Sammi Sweetheart from 'Jersey Shore'. Yes, that show has been off the air since 2012. Yes, this has happened many many times before.

The reality stars hooked up on season 1 of the MTV show. Much to the dismay of The Situation - who thought Sammi Sweetheart was DTF-- unfortunately for him she was interested in a different brand of Italian sausage.

But it wasn't all sunshine, rainbows and fist pumping for the couple. Over the course of 6 seasons Ronnie and Sammi screamed, yelled, ranted, raved, fought, cried, broke up, kissed, hugged, made up, screamed, yelled, ranted, raved, fought, cried, broke up, kissed, hugged and made up about 987 times. The couples constant fighting got Snooki, JWoww, Deanna, Vinny, The Situation & Pauly D's Ed Hardy in quite a twist.

You might have assumed the couple had broken up for good after the show went off the air especially considering they said they were moving in together after the final reunion. That seemed like a GREAT idea.

Alas the duo held strong until recently. At this weeks premiere for fellow castmate Jwoww's new movie 'Jersey Shore Massacre' Ron Ron told People Magazine the couple called it quits for good, saying they're growing apart.

"I still care about her," he told the mag. "She's a great girl, but we were growing distant. It was for the best."

Ladies, don't break out your aerosol hair spray just yet - Ronnie told People he isn't ready to date again. But, if history repeats itself, as it tends to do, Ronnie will be back with Sammi sooner than you can GTL.
