Timeline of Erin Corwin disappearance

Nineteen-year-old Erin Corwin was three weeks pregnant when she left her home in Twentynine Palms, California, on June 28. After nearly two months searching 300 square miles, Corwin, the wife of a Marine, was found dead 140 feet down in a mine shaft near Joshua Tree National Park. Her former neighbor, Cpl. Christopher Brandon Lee, was arrested in Alaska in connection with her death, and police alleged that he researched how to dispose of a body before her disappearance. Lee is suspected of having an extramarital affair with Corwin.

For all the idjuts casting stones at this woman, cheating doesn't warrant a death penalty, and just so ya know, the MURDERER was married, too. SMH.

Yeah, and someone held a gun to this idiot woman's head and told her to cavort with her ultimate killer. She made a choice to play with fire and she got burned. That was her poor choice, which obviously you don't get. If you do something immoral with immoral people you take the risk of hurting yourself. But I guess risk taking behavior is just alright with you and if there is consequences then the person who made the poor choice is the victim.

Being trusting, and not recognizing danger, is NEVER an excuse for a psychopath to victimize and commit their horrors. That's called "victim blaming" ...... ever heard that term ?? She was 19 and made a stupid mistake. That does NOT deserve being murdered. HE is responsible for that. BTW .... I am a former Marine Officer's wife. I was faithful to my husband during his long deployment of a full year. But I don't judge others. We all are stupid sometimes, I bet even you. .

cafebeege - you really need to check your logic. No one said that the murderer was in the right. Hell he deserves to die, not only for being a killer but for dishonoring his wife and breaking his vow as a man. But you downplay the poor choices and consequences of those choices that the female adulterer made. She was trusting......come on now - how so innocent. She broke her vow and her word - she had no integrity. Her husband was trusting - that is the real victim. She made a bad choice and paid the price. There is no innocence here. Victim blaming - really now? Is that the new term for deflecting any accountability for ones actions? No wonder this society is in the toilet. This was not some woman in a burkha minding her own business and a killer came upon her. She played with fire. And her age is meaningless, she was old enough to get married and leave her parents - that type of stupidity is ageless. There are many who are much younger with more wisdom than this fool.

So this young woman deserved to be murdered because she had an affair? With that line of thinking most of the male population would be gone. She was wrong but no one deserves to die for infidelity. RIP to this woman and her child.

The whole thing is just so sad. Above all, I hope her widow picks up the pieces in his life and can move on and find peace and a new life for himself.
