Sleeping intruder arrested after leaving wallet at crime scene

Sleeping Intruder Arrested After Leaving Wallet At Crime Scene

How's this for a nightmare - waking up to find a stranger asleep in your bedroom.

According to police, that's exactly what happened to someone in Southern California last month - and they've finally got a suspect. Here's what happened: The woman told officers she woke up to find a strange man sleeping in the same room as her. *shiver*

But details on what exactly the suspect - identified as 29-year-old Jonathan Phan - was doing there are a little hazy.

Some are reporting the man was naked:
"An Orange County woman got even more of a rude awakening when she found a naked man in her bed."

Others aren't so sure: "I don't know if he was in his underwear, or ... naked."

Some are saying he was in the bed: "She wakes up, finds a strange man, asleep, in her bed, with her."

And some are saying he was at the foot of the bed:

"Police didn't say why Phan decided to get naked and nap on the foot of the woman's bed."

Regardless, the consensus here is there was a stranger in some stage of undress in this woman's bedroom - and that's terrifying.

According to police, the woman understandably screamed after seeing the suspect ... which caused him to hurry out of the house through a window.

And that's where this goes from a horror story to one of those "dumbest criminal" stories.

"Phan left behind his wallet, his pants, and his cell phone. He's now been taken into custody after, of course, police could ID him."

As KCAL reports, the cat-napping intruder was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary Aug. 15.

Police say Phan had forced his way into the home. But what they're not saying is why - since this all happened in late July - it took so long to nab him. You know, considering they had his wallet and his cell phone.

Our daughter had a slumber party and the girls were sleeping on the living room floor. Our son came home and woke me up saying some guy was sleeping in the middle of the girls! (We had left the door unlocked for my son)
I said, "No, that's your dad watching over the girls and he's in the recliner." He said, "Yeah, he IS but this is some other guy." Went down and sure enough a really tall guy was snuggled up to a teddy bear on a pink plush blanket with the girls!
He'd been to a party nearby, went out for some air but got lost because he was really drunk. Walked in our door and just passed out with the girls.
He never bothered anyone according to tthe girls. We got them up and then woke the guy. He got super scared because he didn't know where he was, ran outside and right into our tree! The cops came cuz he was lost, no cell phone but when he saw them he got scared and ran again. lol.. he had to get helped out of the briar patch! No charges.
Was my neighbor's visiting brother! lol

I suppose you missed the part where it says, "Police say Phan had forced his way into the home."

Exactly Right Wesley! Also if he did have ID most likely his address would have been on that and he could have been found right away! They were handed info on this guy.

Well, he white and he may just get off with a verbal warning good nice white guys don't do bad stuff. Just as in Ray Allen's case whose wife woke up to find some punks in her home and were not arrested. Right away you knew who these punks were. If they were black men, they'd already had mug shots and parade around like criminals. Then you wonder why Ferguerson is burning.

I never done that before but still I don't know where I've been? But I met this babe once on the internet. She looked so pretty and had a good body. But she was tough. She could grab the dongs of two men and wip them around. She ate big greasy double cheese burgers and poohed like a horse. She rode me like a mechanical bull and just about killed me. It was fun for awhile but she was soon through with me. I recovered two years later. Now I just do dainty little girls - over 18 of course.

Now he'll be freed to do it again, maybe with even worse results next time.
