Each NFL team's biggest villain

By Eli Nachmany
The Sports Daily

Athletes are generally revered by fans but they can be disliked, too. While players like Peyton Manning and Calvin Johnson tend to elicit positive reviews, other NFLers don't draw the same sentiments. Whether it's a spotty history off the field or just actions that paint them in a negative light while on the field, players find ways to be hated. Every story needs an antagonist, and without further adieu, here is a list highlighting each NFL team's biggest villain.

The hating on Michael Vick I understand, but the shelf life on it amazes me. There are NFL players accused of murder, sexual assault, drug crimes, DUI and more who don't get one tenth the punishment or hate that Vick does. I have two rescue dogs. What Vick was involved in with the dog fighting was despicable and he deserved his punishment. He paid his debt to society. He learned from it. There was true remorse, in my opinion. I am NY Jets fan, but I felt this way long before Vick was on the team. What he did should never be forgotten, but it should be forgiven.

This is at least the third AOL/Huff & Puff Post story about Ray Rice that has used the phrase "beat up" or "beat up on" when describing the incident with his now wife. He did not "beat her up" so stop spreading BS!

According to witnesses in the casino, Rice's future wife was outrageously drunk, cursing and beating him when he tried to calm her, and then spit in his face. When all else failed, Rice struck her once - a short upper cut to the jaw - which rendered his already falling down drunk fiancee unconscious.

I'm not condoning Rice hitting this woman, the circumstances were a bit extraordinary. And one thing I am sure of - he is not a "villain." Rice is neither a cruel or a malicious person, and one mistake should not forever brand someone as such.

Hippie......It is NEVER, EVER okay to hit a woman under ANY circumstance! Ray Rice showed exactly who he was when he struck a woman. You really need to rethink your stance on this.

Did your reading comprehension skills suddenly fail you, or did you simply choose to ignore the following statement in my post: "I'm not condoning Rice hitting this woman,...."

And one day when you grow up, maybe you will understand that there are always aberrant "circumstances" that unexpectedly pop up.

It's Ok to rape young girls like Ben Rapemberger, but so horrible to mistreat animals?

Ray Rice needs to be dropped from the NFL.....PERMANENTLY......the NFL supports women with breast cancer but they say it's ok to beat the hell out of them!

My favorite is the Eagles guy and his "racial slur" that's hilarious. 8,000 "n" words per week in NFL locker rooms, but this guys a racist.....

Killers are only those who have been convicted of doing the deed. YOU need so knowledge as to how law and justice works in America. Killers are NOT decided by public opinion or by any individual not involved in the case.

AND most of them end up shot or dead from corruption or trashed. So why hold these thugs up to these HIGH praises? We all know what most of them are... VILLAINS! You said it!
