Teens who walked into NBA player's home questioned

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) -- Police say seven teenagers wanted to see how a professional basketball player lives, so they walked through an unlocked door at the home of former Miami Heat player Ray Allen.

The teens were attending a party next door early Thursday when they entered the Coral Gables home. Allen's wife and children were sleeping upstairs. Police spokeswoman Kelly Denham says Allen's wife woke up, screamed and the teens ran. She called police.

The Miami Herald reports the party host directed police to a home where they found the 18 -and 19-year-olds. They told police they thought the Allens had moved.

Dunham says officers questioned the teen but released them because there was no forced entry, no intent and nothing was taken. She says Allen's wife intends to file trespassing charges.

What a bunch of .... If the player had been white and the teens sneaking in black, there would be hell to pay. These kids need some punishment

So a person doesn't have the right to leave their door open? Those kids should all have been arrested for entering that home without the owners permission.

"Goon" also seems suitable, although "Great" is a misnomer.

Would Ray Allen have been justified had he shot these interlopers? I say yes. Too many entitled jerks have no respect for the privacy and property of others anymore.

They would be treated for "lead poisoning" if it were my home. You don't walk into someones home uninvited...door locked or not. No accountability instilled in them.

Just like the brainless brats going into someone's home to see how they live.

When i lived in Vegas the next door neighbor died and the bank took the house. Some teens broke in and were partying and trashing the place. Someone called the police for the noise and when they arrived one teen said it was his home and provided ID. The next day a bank representative stopped by and called the police to report a burglary. Since they had the teens ID he was arrested and named others who were there. Their parents had to pay for a lot of damages.

right, like the blk girl who went up to the white mans door for help and he shot her thru the door and kille dher, she wasnt even in the mans house.. those teens need to be punished and not shoved off as "oh they are just kids" that damn sure wouldnt have happened if they were blk kids.
