Going viral: Spider freaks out over man's singing voice

Spider Freaks Out at Bad Singing

Move over Simon Cowell! This spider knows talent when it hears it ... or perhaps we should say it knows when someone is lacking talent.

Uploader/singer Andrew Wilcox took a video of a spider reacting sharply to his performance of the "Lord of the Rings" theme (we think).

Andrew says: "My sister sings at spiders to get back at them for scaring her so much. I tried it out and sure enough, most spiders freak out when you sing at them."

He explains that he is "the spider remover. Whenever my sisters see a spider in the house or near the entry, they freak out and call me to get rid of it. I don't like to kill spiders so I usually remove them to another area. My oldest sister doesn't like to kill spiders either so she found a way to "get back at the spider" without doing it any harm. She sings at them in an opera voice and they freak out!"

We're glad he didn't do the spider any bodily harm -- but perhaps leaving it alone or shooing it away would have been a bit more kind than submitting it to this song. Either way, the spider probably told its buddies to avoid the Wilcox house entirely.

the spider isn't freaking out about the singing. the spider is freaking out because the web is shaking like it's an earthquake.

Am I the only one that wishes that the spider would have bitten that guy?

Spiders eat bugs. Lots of them.
Let them locate behind your fridge or in hidden corners and occasionally clean up under them. They'll safer than Raid toxins and work for free.

That doesn't look like a fiddleback spider, and it's not a fiddleback spider; it's a harmless orb web spider. A fiddleback is a hunting spider and has a different body type and different markings.

If you zoom in you will notice that it is a Brown Recluse, which he should have killed.
