Couple Comes Forward To Claim $90 Million Powerball Grand Prize

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - A Colorado couple on the Western Slope struck it rich Saturday night after the Powerball drawing took place.

The numbers drawn matched all six of the numbers on their ticket, and they won the $90 million grand prize. Wednesday, the couple came forward to claim their money.

Claude "Al" G. and his wife, Jackie, had no idea a trip to the Kum and Go store in Rifle last week would be life-changing.

"She pulled out the tickets and [said] 'oh my God, oh my God Al!'" he described how they found out they won it big.

They showed up to claim their prize with their two daughters.

The win was totally random. "They were actually quick picks."

Jackie bought the winning ticket at the store last week. She has bought Powerball tickets there each week for as long as she can remember.

The store proudly display the winning check as the couple really doesn't know how to answer the question everyone asks.

"Have fun" is all they can say right now when asked what they're going to do with all that money.

Al says though he missed work this week, he may go back. "I let my boss know ... no argument from him."
