Neymar returns to team practice with Barcelona

BARCELONA, Spain (AP) - Neymar has returned to team training with Barcelona for the first time since fracturing a vertebra in his back at the World Cup.

Barcelona says Neymar completed his first full training session with the rest of the team on Wednesday, although he has not yet been cleared by team doctors to play games.

The Brazil star hurt his back in a collision with a Colombian defender during the World Cup quarterfinals last month, ruling him out of the rest of the competition. Without him, Brazil lost 7-1 to Germany in the semifinals.

Barcelona hosts Elche on Aug. 24 in the opening match of the Spanish league season.

It was not a "collision" with a Columbian player. The player kicked him in the back hoping to put him out of the game! Let's just get that straight

Neymar is somewhat overrated at this point. he is a young player, who is not fully developed at this time.
I have seen this when he faces a top-notch defender, who has great technical skills. Perhaps in a few years he will be truly world-class.

Yes. I think it was a deliberate knee in his lower back out of envy. I'm excited about Neymar's full recovery and doing wonderful things in soccer in the future.
