Kid can't cut mustard at hot dog derby

Raw: Kid Can't Cut Mustard at Hot Dog Derby

Ketchup? Mustard? Relish? It's hard to say which topping comes out on top.

But for fans who were rooting for their favorite condiment during the Kansas City Royals' Hot Dog Derby, it's safe to say that mustard didn't quite make the cut.

The young boy who donned the yellow-tinged hot dog costume suffered more than a few obstacles in crossing the finish line on Sunday, losing his pants and then his balance as he edged near the finish line.

It's hard to imagine he didn't work the crowd into a frenzy once he completed the race.

Title should be 'Mustard can't Catchup to Relish the Win'.

Obviously you are not a fan of puns. Yes, they are terrible humor, but it is still a funny line. Perhaps you think the writer is putting the kid down because you just don't have a sense of humor.

no one noticed the childs pants kept falling donw around his ankles, that is why he fell, Glade to see kids can still have some fun, And I too don't like the title of the article, That titile is degrading to the child. He tried, he did his best, and if his pants did not fall down, he would of won the race.

The child is just a pun based on the costumes for the hot dog derby race. No one was degrading the child. (I would have said stupid pun, but that would be redundant, to say the least)

Really AOL, your tag line for this story is just wrong. He has on regular clothes underneath the costume pants. To use such sensationalized hype against children is wrong. They were having fun and you tried to turn it into something shameful.

There's plenty of depressing news around if that's what you want. Some of us like these lighter stories as a nice break from all the murder and mayhem.
