TV's most memorable teachers just in time for back to school

Sorry to break this to you, kiddos, but the summer is over. It's back-to-school time! I know, no kid likes going back to school, but most of us would admit that there were some teachers we were glad to see year after year. And of course, some of our favorite teachers are those from classic television. Imagine what school would've been like if you'd had some of these folks filling out your report card each semester. Check out the gallery above from Do You Remember for the full run-down!

Well, let's see...there's Mr. Kotter, from Welcome Back, Kotter. There's Sidney Poitier's character in To Sir, With Love; Leave it to Beaver's teacher; the teacher in Up the Down Staircase and many more.

Obviously, the people at AOL do not have the intelligence to do some research. Wally Cox as Mr. Peepers. Eve Arden as Miss Brooks. Seriously? Friday Night Lights over Peepers and Brooks? Those two helped launch TV situation comedy. AOL is full of a bunch of loser interns providing mediocre information to loser writers, with loser editors letting slide by as news.

No one mentioned Lloyd Haynes and Karen Valentine from "Room 222?" And no mention of my favorite, Helen Crump from 'the Andy Griffith show!"
