Katy Perry disses Kim Kardashian's infamous booty
We all know that the Kardashian family gets a lot of attention. Whether its for Kris' new cookbook coming out in October, Kendall and Kylie's bikini shots on Instagram or a wild trip to Thailand, they always seem to have a seat in the spotlight.
This time it was Kim! The social media celebrity was the main focus of the latest issue of Rolling Stones...and she wasn't even featured in it! Katy Perry, 29, was the cover story for the upcoming August edition. The famous pop star talks about her latest performances during her "The Prismatic World Tour". But how did Kim K wiggle her way into this conversation? Katy tells the mag that Kim was actually inspiration for her tour in some ways.
Not as flattering as it sounds though. Katy was called "culturally insensitive" by many critics after her dancers were in "big-bootied" mummy costumes. She addresses the diss by saying, "As far as the mummy thing, I based it on plastic surgery," and goes on to say, "Look at someone like Kim Kardashian or Ice-T's wife, Coco. Those girls aren't African-American. But it's actually a representation of our culture wanting to be plastic, and that's why there's bandages and it's mummies."
Yikes! Definitely wasn't the most sensitive explanation, but at least she was being honest. Sorry Kim, it looks like Katy isn't buying that your backside is real. But if you are an avid KUWTK fan, we all know that the X-rays showed that Kim was born with that booty.
