A teenage boy is dead, a 3-year-old boy is in critical condition and ten others injured in shootings in Chicago since Friday afternoon.
According to police, the boy was out with his mother and another man around 10:15 p.m. Friday on the 4400 block of South Sacramento Avenue in the Brighton Park neighborhood.
A group of people approached and someone in the group opened fire, hitting the boy.
Police say the area has an ongoing gang conflict but it's not clear if its related to this shooting.
Earlier in the evening, police and ambulances were called to the intersection of Lexington and California in the city's Lawndale neighborhood for a mass shooting.
Police say a 13-year-old Samuel Walker was killed and six others were injured when someone opened fire on a group of people, mostly teens.
Three 14-year-olds males, a 15-year-old male, and a 21-year-old male were all taken to the hospital.
A 25-year-old man was treated at the scene.
Walker died about two blocks from his home in the 3000 block of West Flournoy Street.
Police say the incident appears to be gang related and Walker was a documented gang member.
