KTLA reports that according to researchers, it could also cause a rivalry between women.

A new study finds that women think another lady in red can be a sexual threat. According to the numbers, women who wear red set off so-called 'mate guard impulses' in other females.

In fact, women are more likely to guard their romantic partners when they see another woman wearing red. The research suggests that both men and women do link the color red to sex.

Previous studies have also found links between red and fertility.
