Fox replaces Oliver with Andrews on NFL sidelines

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Fox Sports says longtime reporter Pam Oliver is being "elevated" to senior correspondent and Erin Andrews will take her place as the sideline reporter for the network's top NFL announcing team.

Fox Sports president Eric Shanks says Oliver will continue to work as sideline reporter this season with the announcing team of Kevin Burkhardt and analyst John Lynch.

Oliver's role will expand to include interviews and commentary on other Fox and Fox Sports 1 shows, such as Fox Sports Live and Fox Sports 1 on 1 and sports beyond the NFL.

Oliver has worked 19 seasons as an NFL sideline reporter for Fox.

Andrews will take over as the sideline reporter for Fox's top NFL team of Joe Buck and analyst Troy Aikman.

Erin Andrews has the most annoying accent ever! I have no idea where she is from but I cannot bear to listen to her~pretty girl, "fairly" knowledgeable on football but I'll take Pam any day.

NOOOO! Erin Andrews voice is like nails on a blackboard. I can't listen to her; when her commercials come on I have to change the channel or mute her. I'm sure she's a decent person, but her voice.....Yuck.

The most annoying woman in teevee - Erin Andrewws. I'll keep my remote handy during NFL games to mute her. Fox trying to appeal to the old farts who have a thing for blondes.

Andrews is just as annoying to us old farts as she is to you. She is there for the 20-50 year old age group not because of talent, but because of looks. The entire concept of sideline reporting adds nothing to a TV telecast. All it does is provide the viewers with another Barbie Doll reporter to ask the same redundant mindless questions.

Both of the women mentioned in this story, got the gig on their looks alone. The best female "analyst" working, is Doris Burke of ESPN's NBA games. Very good at her work, But, won't be google searched for her pics

Really ? Your kidding aren't you?? You can't be that hard up for real talent can you ? This is the worst choice possible. This women is only into herself and could care less about anything or anyone. Please change your mind and get a real reporter who cares about the game and the people and not in love with themselves !!!

19 years and still a clueless sideline interview everytime, offering no information, value or entertainment. Andrews is annoying in a similar way. The mute button is on!
