Shooters restaurant employees carry guns in Rifle, CO

Shooters Grill in the appropriately named town of Rifle, Colorado, lives up to its name: its employees can, and do, carry guns. KKCO reports, "From the artwork to the firearms, you'll find guns all around the restaurant," adding, "Anyone carrying a gun is trained to concealed carry, and the bullets are defense grade, so they can't do too much damage."

HLN reports the 27-year-old owner wanted to exercise her right to carry a weapon and encouraged her staff to do the same. While the nine servers are not required to carry a gun, all of them do."

The restaurant plans to host a monthly concealed carry permit class, complete with a free meal. And those who do earn their permits won't be required to register the gun -- in fact, the state of Colorado actually prohibits gun registration.

The topic of gun control and regulation is usually heated, and Shooters' Facebook page proves that. Comments varied from support to opposition: one commenter said on Facebook she would never visit the restaurant while another wrote it would be the safest place to eat in America.
