Nanny Accused Of Leaving Children In Hot Car While Tanning

An Oregon nanny is under fire after allegedly leaving two young children she was watching in a hot car while she was inside tanning salon.

Kristin Marie Jones, 23, pleaded not guilty Friday to several charges after a pedestrian reportedly found a 3-year-old boy and a 2-month-old girl in a minivan parked outside the Sunblaze Tanning salon on a 90 degree day.

Jones is accused of leaving them in there while she was inside. An officer who responded to the call said he found the children sweating and screaming inside the vehicle with the windows up.

Court documents state Jones came out of the salon as the officer pulled the children out of the car, and then took them inside with her. She eventually admitted to leaving them in the van.

She is scheduled to appear in court on August 15.
