As the calendar turns to July, take a photographic look back at the crazy month that June was. One of the biggest stories to emerge from the World Cup was Uruguay striker Luis Suarez biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini -- a moment that overshadowed Uruguay's 1-0 victory over Italy in the game. The incident sparked a firestorm of mockery online, and, in Rio de Janeiro, soccer fans pretended Suarez was biting them as they snapped selfies next to an Adidas advertisement featuring Suarez. Good times!
But that's hardly the only amazing image captured by photographers around the world -- and above it. Astronaut Reid Wiseman, who is living aboard the International Space Station, shot an extraordinary pic of a single die floating above Earth. Other great photos depict the fury of Mother Nature, triumphant achievements in sports and an odd couple: Dolly Parton and Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi sharing the same stage.
Half the year is down. Until next month, we bid you farewell.
