Eminem's daughter graduates with highest honors

Eminem's Daughter Graduates High School

Eminem is one proud papa - his daughter Hailie Jade Scott just graduated from high school with the highest honors.

The 18-year-old achieved the Academic Excellence Award at her school in Michigan. The distinction is given to students who hold a 3.9 GPA or higher which is pretty impressive since Hailie stayed plenty busy with several extracurricular activities like the National Honor Society, volleyball and student council.

On the school district's website, Hailie credits her parents as being the most influential people during her lifetime.

Marshall Mathers made his daughter the subject of a few hits like "Mockingbird" and "Hailie's song" when she was little - and has since flown under the radar for the most part. Now she plans to attend Michigan State University in the fall.

Good for her. But I'm sure there are thousands of other top of the class students that were inspired by their parents. Where are the stories about all of those great kids? Oh wait, they're not celebs kids so you don't care about them. If they're celebs kids then that makes them better than every other regular kid so they get a story on HP or the new or TMZ or some other show. Well my hat is off to all the class leaders that have been inspired by some hard working parents through their years.

I think Hailie achieved success despite who her father is. Public school, not a boarding school somewhere in Europe. The girl seems to be very grounded and her parents helped make that happen....
