The Kaiser Chief's kicked off a rainy but electrified Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts with a surprise performance on The Other Stage Friday
The 5-day festival, which takes place near Somerset, England, is expected to attract 200,000 -- up from 1,500 during its humble beginning in 1970.
Despite a few black clouds -- including the death of an elderly woman, who is said to have died of natural causes in her tent overnight, and the unrelated death of a 26-year-old, who 'suffered what police suspect was an adverse reaction after taking the illegal drug ketamine,' according to BBC News -- Britain's most annually-anticipated music festival is forging ahead full-steam.
Performances Friday will include Blondie, Lily Allen, Paolo Nutini and canadian band Arcade Fire later Friday night. See the full lineup here.
