Backstage at Paula Deen's first live tour

Backstage with Paula Deen (ET Exclusive)
Paula Deen invited ET to her first live tour, where she gave viewers a taste of what she's cooking up for her digital network debut.

In her first interview since making the announcement, Paula was excited and grateful for the outpouring of fan support she has received since her controversy and subsequent removal from The Food Network. "I've got sense enough to know, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be standing here," the 67-year-old said to her fans in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

When Paula asked her admirers what they were looking forward to most about the Paula Deen network, one female fan exclaimed, "Having you back!"

Deen and her husband Michael Groover hit the road in hopes of connecting with fans and seeing exactly what they want from her new network. So, what can audiences expect from Deen's 20-show tour and network? "Oh, I've got new recipes! Fried chicken! I got a hundred ways to cook fried chicken!"

What do you think of Deen's comeback? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Paula Deen is a wonderful woman. The liberal extremisist media were like sharks smelling blood in the water when they went after her for nothing. It was that awful political correctness and reverse racism. She is great and never said anything wrong. And if she did so what. Its NO BIG DEAL except to the victim wannabe real racist.

OMG ...hardly know where to begin, and know enough that most is a waste of time & typing. However, as a white person, P.D. comments are EXTREMELY racist, ignorant, and set back race/humankind relations approx. a century, maybe more., though growing up in the south, maybe she wasn't aware that the south did not win the war. Brain power mostly was in the north..racist, or reality? Hhhmmm?

Stop throwing around a few buzz words you hear, like liberal extremeist media (to which talk show host have you been listening?). Equal rightsmeans fairness & being treated humanely. Go read a dictionary..they're online and doesn't cost anything. You might learn something.

Bev, your "brain power" comment reveals your own prejudice, so I'll give your opinions on race/humankind relations the lack of attention they deserve, but if you took an honest survey, most people over 50 in the US, INCLUDING THE NORTH, have used the "N-word" at some point in their lives. Deen was just honest enough to admit it.

You are really out of touch Bev. Your suggestion that brain power is somehow diminished when one crosses into your definition of the south is ridiculous. Your understanding of not only the south but the US as a whole as it was 30 years ago when P.D. made her comment is off base as well. Though I disagree with her comment, all she had to do was deny it and this would have gone away. She had the courage to admit she said this 30 years ago and take the abuse she knew it would get. This complaint was not leveled by a black employee, but by a former manager who has left to run a competing restaurant. Strange she was ok with it for 30 years and when she found herself competing against Paula suddenly she has to go public with this. Have you seen her current black employees walk out in protest against her? no. You think you know her better than they do?
Your obvious bias against the south and those who live there clouds your arguement. I am certain Ms deen knows who won the civil war.

Statements and comments reflect a person's attitude and feelings toward a specific subject. Therefore, it is a big deal. If you call racism and hatred NO BIG DEAL, then you have a BIG PROBLEM.

Mrs O “For the first time in my adult life I’m proud of my country”. That PUBLIC statement wasn’t offensive and racist towards nonblacks? It sure wasn’t first lady like. I wonder if she is still so proud?

Racism is very prevalent today. Affirmative action is a good example of that. It’s kind of sad that racism is written into law.

Don't really care what she thinks. Just wish we didn't have to hear that ridiculous accent.
