'Notebook'-inspired engagement photos go viral

Couple Recreates Famous Scenes From 'The NoteBook' For Engagement Photos

Even after ten years, 'The Notebook' is continually listed as one of the most romantic films of all time -- so one couple thought there was no better way to celebrate their engagement than a 'Notebook'-inspired photoshoot.

The film is a favorite of 31-year-old Cindy Gauthier, who bears a striking resemblance to the film's star, Rachel McAdams. She and her fiance Jean-Nicola Barile reached out to photographer Chelsea Gray to recreate some of the movies most iconic moments.

Cindy told the Daily Mail that she wasn't comfortable with ordinary engagement photos, and when Gray posed the idea of a theme, they thought the 2004 film would be perfect. She had someone do her hair and borrowed a 1940s style dress from her sister, which she eventually got soaking wet.

Gray, the owner of Blushing Bride Studio in Quebec, told HuffPost Live that since these photos were first taken back in July 2010, people all around the world have requested 'Notebook' engagement photos. However, she feels Cindy and Jean-Nicola's shoot is too special to recreate over and over.

That being said, she also says that she is up to new challenges. Gray hadn't even seen 'The Notebook' until the night before.

These narcistic people who think they are Hollyweird stars or NY models are ridiculous. This type of showing off is not cute, it is embarrassing. And it has become a plague. Engagement photos really should be of the BRIDE ONLY, ONE PIC and something TASTEFUL!

Well, let's see! Guys buy the engagement ring. Guys are going to equal partners in the engagement and marriage. And YOU believe it should only be a picture of the bride! Surely you jest! These are no ancient times. I'm in my 60's and believe in equality when it comes to engagements. It's not all about the woman anymore! If you're married, I pity your husband!

They did an amazing job! I loved the movie and I think this is a great idea and surprised it has not been thought of sooner.

It is certainly in poor taste and lower class.

my personal opinion is the most romantic pics can not be captured on a photo. Its an illusion made to look like something and that isnt romantic. Romantic is two not two and a photographer.

They did great. I didn't see the movie. Now I don't have to see it. There were 2 people. They are in love. It rains. One of them paints. There's a boat dock. It's the 1940's. They drive a red pick up. They're still in love. Wow. Great movie. :) Very nice job. :) But if it's Hollywood . . . and there's no one else in the pictures . . . I GUESS the beautiful girl is umm . . . in love with the photographer? :( Which would mean she's bisexual? lol. I like this couple. :)
